Inauguration: Cheers as Aiyedatiwa Playfully Hails Wife’s Popularity

…Says she is now popular, could run for Senate

Excitement filled the air at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Jesus House, Oke Ijebu, Akure, on Sunday as Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, playfully acknowledged his wife, her excellency, Mrs Seun Aiyedatiwa, during a thanksgiving service, jesting that she had gained so much popularity that she could now contest for a Senatorial seat.

The remark, delivered in a jocular tone, was met with resounding applause and laughter from the congregation, particularly among women who revelled in the moment.

A source at the event said, “The church erupted in laughter and joy when he made the comment. It was all in good spirits, and everyone enjoyed the humour.”

Following the event, several individuals, including supporters and well-wishers, took to social media to share pictures of the First Lady, celebrating the lighthearted moment.

Meanwhile, Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed appreciation to God for His divine guidance, noting that his political journey was anchored on faith and service.

“As we take the oath of office tomorrow, we remain committed to serving with integrity and ensuring that Ondo State prospers,” he stated.
