Impeach Buhari to regain your power and integrity – Fayose tells NASS

  • Says NASS has lost its constitutional legislative rights
  • Buhari is now the head of the three arms of govt, Fayose fumes

Former Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Ayodele Fayose, has said that the National Assembly should impeach Buhari to regain its power and integrity.

In several tweets on Friday, Fayose said he always laugh each time the National Assembly is trying to give the impression that it can still bite.

Starnews Nigeria reports that Fayose spoke on the recent activities of the National Assembly and tweeted as follow:

”Funny that the Senate passed a resolution today, summoning the Minister of Defence and Service Chiefs over insecurity in the country. The House of Reps too asked Finance Ministry not to release funds meant for the 774,000 special works programme scheduled to commence in Jan 2021”.

”Each time I read the NASS trying to give the impression that it can still bite, I always laugh.
Let me say it again that as usual, the Senate will be ignored and the Ministry of Finance will go-ahead to release funds for the 774,000 special works scam.”

”The NASS needs to stop arrogating to themselves, powers already surrendered to President Buhari. Or were they not the ones who turned the President to a god who must not be questioned and surrendered their rights to him?
Have they forgotten how the CG of Customs shunned them?”

”When you give the gun to a son, whose mental capacity you do not trust, you will end up being faced-down. As it is, the NASS constitutional legislative rights are already lost to the President and he is now more or less the head of the three arms of govt.”

”If the NASS wants to regain its power and integrity, the President should be impeached.”

”But can this NASS bite?”
