I’m confident PDP will field its candidate from the southern district — Bitire

I know that after much lesson learnt, the People’s Democratic Part (PDP) in Ondo State will field its candidate from the Southern Senatorial District of the state ahead October 10 governorship election.

No amount trick, deceit, propaganda and self glorification of whatever guise would make the PDP to go outside the favoured district in this coming election.

We already had enough of ugly lessons from the past mistakes whereby the party took the electorates for granted by contravening the political culture of Ondo State.

As one of the foundational members of the PDP in Ondo State, who was once the secretary of the party for 8 years in Okitipupa local government, chairman of the party for 6 years in the same local government, I also doubled as chairman of chairmen of the PDP in Ondo State that same year and as chairman of Okitipupa local government under the PDP, I am confident once again that the political error of the past will not be repeated.

I am much aware that all the Progressives in this party across the three Senatorial Districts of Ondo State are already working together in this direction.

Let no one think we would be fooled again.

Above were the words of Solomon Bitire, a chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party while speaking to Starnews NG in a telephone interview on Thursday over the multitude of governorship aspirants by the PDP ahead of the party’s primary election in May this year.
