Ilebaye Speaks on Asking for Donations From Fans After Winning N120m BBnaija Show

BBNaija All Stars winner, Ilebaye has broken her silence amid criticism from cybernauts over her tweet.

This comes after Ilebaye took to her X handle to drop her account details for fans’ donations.

She had raised an alarm regarding a trending scam, stating that some unscrupulous elements were trying to get money from her fans while hiding under her name.

To avoid this, Ilebaye posted her account number on her official handle, telling all her fans who wish to give to send money there instead.

In reaction, netizens seemingly misinterpreted her tweet, insinuating that she was attempting to amass more money from fans despite securing N120M.

Addressing the misconceptions, Ilebaye in a new tweet noted that her previous tweet was only to quash fraudulent activities perpetrated by some individuals, adding that she never solicited funds.

In her words:
” This tweet was solely to avoid people who WANT to gift falling into the hands of scammers.

” We didn’t solicit for funds, we only highlighted the account we have access to.

” Too many fake account numbers are circulating and we will not be held accountable for any misappropriation.”
