Union of Ikale Indigenes, has Congratulated Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa on his appointment as the substantive governor of Ondo state following the death of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.

The Union, in a congratulatory message on Thursday, said the circumstances that has led to his elevation are indeed somber, noting that the demise of the past governor has left an indelible mark on the State.

“While we mourn Governor Akeredolu’s SAN passing, we recognize that the mantle of leadership has now fallen upon your shoulders. This transition comes at a challenging time, and it demands steadfast resolve and principled leadership to navigate the state through this period of transition and loss” the union added.

The Union however, urged the new Governor to demonstrate beyond the ordinary element of courage and dedication necessary to address the formidable tasks that lies ahead of him. Including that the governor should be transparent, and accountable to the people of the sunshine state so as to build upon the legacy of his predecessor.

“As you embark on this new chapter, the Union of Ikale Indigenes (UOII) urge you to heed the call to champion the voices of all citizens, respect the rule of law, and foster an environment of social justice and equitable progress for all. With unwavering commitment, we believe that you can lead Ondo State toward a future that rejuvenates hope and prosperity in the hearts of every resident” the union said.
