ICAN appoints New Registar

Nigeria’s ace account body, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria has appointed Dr Musibau Olasunkanmi as its new Registrar/Chief Executive.

ICAN disclosed this in a statement on Friday.

It stated that Olasunkanmi’s appointment comes following the approval of the Governing Council of the Institute at its December 15, 2023 meeting.

The professional accountants’ body in Nigeria noted that Olasunkanmi’s appointment is strategic and will take the country’s account profession to a greater height.

On Thursday, Olasunkanmi assumed the Registrar/Chief Executive role, succeeding Mr Mukaila Lawal, the Acting Registrar/Chief Executive, who will retire on March 1.
