There is a difference between getting God informed and getting Him involved in your problem or anything you do.
It may interest you to know that when we pray, we get God informed. But when we praise Him, we get Him involved.
Psalm 22: 3 says that God inhabits the praises of his people. Our praises invite Him. Praises move God from His throne to come down in His fullness, power, and glory to dwell in such praises. Praise glorify God and God lives in praises.
On the other hand, prayers get God informed. Whenever we pray, we are informing Him about a situation. You pass a message at every prayers we offer unto Him. Unlike praises, God doesn’t come down Himself when we offer prayers. He sends Angels to us.
The book of Daniel chapter 10:2 explains better.
When Daniel prayed, God responded immediately by sending an Angel to Him. But the Angel couldn’t deliver the message until 21 days after because the enemy hindered the Angel while on His way to meet Daniel.
It was Daniel’s continuous prayers that saved Him. If not, he would have waited endlessly without getting answers to such prayers. God had to send Arch Angel Michal to perfect the rescue mission.
Only God knows how many Christians are suffering the same fate as Daniel today. Hence, this message is preached to enlighten the body of Christ about the power of praise.
There is power in praising God! In the book of 2nd chronicle 20:1-30, the Israelites defeated the enemies by praising God without using any weapon. This is because God is moved when you praise Him.
King David says in Psalms 119:164 that he praises God 7 times daily. But in Psalms 55:17, he says he prays to God three times daily.
What does that suggest to you? King David knows how to get God involved and move Him to action in all situations.
The Power of Praise:
Praise brings us to a place of humility. James 4:10.
Praise causes the enemy to flee. James 4:7.
Praise leaves no room for complaining and negativity. Psalm 103:2-4.
Praise opens the way for God’s blessings over our lives. Psalm 100:4, 5.
God fight our battles Himself when you sing His praises: Chronicle 20 vs20.
Praise paves the way for God’s power to be displayed. Psalm 16:11.
But NOT all praise are accepted by God!
It is difficult to sing the praises of a God you don’t know or serve. Or how can you praise sango or an idol you know nothing about. The Bible says God is so Holy that His eyes cannot behold iniquity. (Habakkuk 1:13).
God says in Isaiah 1:15 that when you spread out your hands, I will hide my eyes from you; even though you make many prayers, I will not listen; your hands are full of blood.
The blood referenced here means sin. You can’t be in sin to praise a Holy God. Even if you do, He won’t hear.
Please repent today! Give your life to Jesus Christ and confess Him as your Lord and Saviour.
I just told you… It’s your choice to choose between a man who has the power over life, death and hell.
Say : Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sin. Forgive me. (confess your sin) I accept you today as my Lord and Saviour, come into my life and remain there forever. Amen.
