How Portable jumped gate to evade arrest

Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, attempted to avoid arrest by Lagos State Police Command operatives on Tuesday by jumping over a gate. The arrest followed a complaint from a car dealer to whom he owed money.

Portable had initiated the purchase of a N27 million G-Wagon from the dealer, making an initial payment and promising to settle the remaining amount later.

In a video circulating on social media, the singer, dressed in a white and black striped shirt, was seen conversing with officers who arrived to apprehend him. Upon being shown a warrant of arrest, he calmly responded, “No problem, no problem Oga mi,” before suddenly climbing over a nearby gate and fleeing the scene.

Confirming his arrest, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, said, “Yes, Portable has been arrested. He bought G-Wagon for N27m, paid N13m, and refused to pay the rest, claiming the vehicle was bad. We arrested him today.”
