‘He was a peaceful man’ —Ondo Assembly mourns former lawmaker

Members of the Ondo State House of Assembly have conveyed their condolences following the passing of former lawmaker, Hon. Alex Akinnadeju, who passed away on February 27, 2024, at the age of 90.

In a statement issued on behalf of the lawmakers, the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Olamide Oladiji, praised the late Akinnadeju as a peaceful and committed member of the House, dedicated to serving both God and humanity throughout his lifetime.

The official statement was released to the press by Honourable (Chief) Olatunji Oshati, Chairman of the House Committee on Information, today in Akure.

Oladiji who sympathized with the family of the former legislature, said his meaningful and robust contribution to legislative matters would not be forgotten in a haste, saying that he would be greatly missed.

The Speaker, later prayed to God to grant the departed soul eternal rest.

Late Akinnadeju was a former member of the House of Assembly representing Idanre Constituency between 1999 and 2002 under the platform of the Alliance For Democracy (AD) in Ondo State.
