Gunmen Kill Miyetti Allah Chairman in Plateau

The Chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) in Barikin Ladi, Plateau State, Muhammad Adamu, has been shot dead by unidentified gunmen at his residence.

The attackers stormed his home, fired multiple shots at him, and fled the scene.

His body was later taken to the Barikin Ladi General Hospital, where arrangements for his burial have been made.

Reacting to the incident, the Plateau State Chairman of MACBAN, Ibrahim Yusuf Babayo, condemned the killing and urged security agencies to find those responsible.

This attack comes shortly after a similar incident in Kwara State, where the MACBAN chairman, Alhaji Idris Abubakar, was also murdered.

MACBAN in Kwara described his death as a targeted killing, stating that he had been vocal against criminal activities within the community.

Abubakar had reportedly been receiving threats from criminal elements before he was ambushed.

According to the association, he had been actively working to expose criminals operating under the guise of cattle breeders.

MACBAN expressed concern over the repeated killings of its leaders, pointing out that four Fulani leaders had been murdered in Kwara in recent times.

The group believes these killings are linked to their stance against crime within their communities.
