Gunmen Kidnap Top CBN Staff, Demand N10 Million Ransom

 

Some unknown gunmen have kidnapped Isaac Bature Gbaja, an assistant manager with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in Lafia, Nassarawa State capital.

Gbaja was abducted on Monday, 13 November 2023, alongside two other unidentified persons around 8pm.

It was gathered that the kidnappers, who contacted the family on Thursday, are demanding N10 million as ransom.

Also, it was learnt that he was picked up at his wife’s joint near MACFES Royal Suites, along Kwandere Road, Tudun Gwandara, Lafia, Nasarawa State.

The incident is the latest to occur barely 24 hours after a councillor in Lafia Local Government Council, Agidi Bulus Ajeh, who was kidnapped by unknown gunmen regained his freedom.
