Gunmen Kidnap Farmer, Labourer Near Akure Airport, Demand N15m Ransom

A farmer and a labourer have been abducted by armed men at Oke Oge, a settlement near Oba Ile in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State.

According to Newstrack, the victims were taken on Saturday evening while returning from their farmland close to Akure Airport.

Confirming the incident, the commander of Amotekun in the state, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, said security operatives had been deployed to ensure their safe return.

“We are actively monitoring the situation,” Adeleye stated. “The victims were kidnapped on their way back from the farm, and our men are already working to rescue them.”

Meanwhile, the kidnappers have reportedly contacted the victims’ families, demanding a ransom of N15 million for their release.
