Gunmen Disguised as EFCC Operatives Abduct 10 from Hotel

Suspected armed men posing as operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have reportedly kidnapped 10 individuals from White Hill Hotel along Shiroro Road in Chanchaga Local Government Area of Niger State.

Security analyst and counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama, citing intelligence sources, revealed that the incident occurred around 4:58 a.m. on Tuesday, February 27, 2025.

According to reports, the attackers arrived at the hotel under the pretense of conducting an official EFCC operation. They allegedly disabled the hotel’s CCTV cameras before forcibly entering guests’ rooms and abducting 10 people, taking them to an undisclosed location.

Confirming the incident, the Assistant Commissioner of Police, State Intelligence Department, stated that an investigation was underway to track down the perpetrators and rescue the victims.

Authorities have urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities as security agencies intensify efforts to unravel the circumstances surrounding the abduction.
