An impassable road in Ondo State, leading to major farms, settlements and also linking Kogi State, has been rehabilitated by a group Aremu Elite Backbenchers (AEB).
The rehabilitated road spanning two and half kilometers, in Ojo Ajowa Akoko in Akoko North West Local Government Area of Ondo State has been abandoned for over a decade, causing motorists and other road users plying the route excruciating pains.
Flagging off the road on Friday, Olora of Ora, His Royal Highness, Oba Friday Olusa, commended the yeoman’s job carried out by the group, while he urged other well meaning residents and groups to emulate the kind gestures for the rapid development of the community.
In a related development, Aremu Elite Backbenchers, also organized a free medical outreach for the residents and its environs.
In the outreach, there were status check for: Blood Pressure, Blood Glucose, BMI Calculation, Free Calculation, Free drug and Treatment, and free eye glasses.
The Chairman of the group, Dr O. J Adehuwa, in his address, extolled the residents for harnessing the opportunity. He also stressed the dictum of ‘Health is Wealth’.
The Chiarman of the group who was represented by Prince Unity Adeniyi, also showered encomium on the residents of Ajowa for extending hands of peace during the installation of the solar powered street light donated by the group in a bid to stamp out darkness in Ajowa.
He, however, promised more developmental projects and the people of the area to use their earnest prayers to support him, his family, and other members of the group.
