Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, has strongly condemned the recent terrorist attack on a military base in Sabongari, located within the Damboa Local Government Area.

According to Politics Nigeria, in a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information and Internal Security, Usman Tar, Governor Zulum described the attack as a desperate move by insurgents aimed at reversing the significant progress the military has made in the fight against terrorism in the region.

The governor expressed his deepest condolences to the families of the soldiers who lost their lives in the attack and reiterated his administration’s unwavering support for the Nigerian military in its mission to bring lasting peace and development to the state.

“The enemies of our people are determined to challenge our collective resolve and disrupt the progress we have made in resettling communities and restoring livelihoods, especially in the agricultural sector,” Governor Zulum stated.

He reassured both the military and the people of Borno that the state government remains committed to achieving enduring peace. “Together, we will overcome these challenges and ensure the lasting success of our efforts,” he concluded.
