Governor Vows Justice for Benue Christmas Day Attack

Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, has called on security agencies to apprehend those responsible for the deadly attack on Anwase community in Kwande LGA on Christmas Day.

The assault left 11 people dead after gunmen invaded the village.

In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula, Alia expressed deep sorrow for the tragedy.

The governor promised that the attackers would face severe consequences and urged security forces to increase patrols to ensure vulnerable communities are adequately protected.

He also extended his condolences to the victims’ families and wished comfort to those grieving and recovering from the violence.
