Gov Seyi Makinde is an ingrate, says Dino Melaye

The Spokesperson of Atiku Abubakar Campaign Organization, Senator Dino Melaye, on Wednesday, attacked Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, describing him as an ingrate.

Starnews Nigeria reports that his anger might not be unconnected with the open endorsement of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ahmed Bola Tinubu, by Governor Makinde.

Melaye, on his verified Meta Account, (Facebook), shared a comment where he directed the Admin of a PDP platform to remove the picture of Makinde and replace it with that of Atiku.

He further revealed how Atiku supported the election of Governor Makinde with one billion naira when he was already losing out because of the paucity of funds.

He wrote:

“Pls admin, remove the picture of the person on this platform and put that of Atiku. If you cannot put Atiku, put that of the party logo. We don’t want to see this face anymore. Gov Seyi Makinde is an Ingrate. In 2019, after the Presidential election, when we were out of funds. And we were all running around. Atiku brought 1B Naira. He brought it on the 28th to help Seyi Makinde’s election after he already lost his own.

“But today Seyi is doing anti-party because of hatred that he inherited from his friend. Let me warn the Governor here. We are all politicians. If the Governor continues to hobnob with the APC candidate for President at our party’s expense. Then we will do the same to him too.

“We will find a Governor candidate that we will help with the agreement that if we deliver him he would come to PDP after the election. We already have one of them who was formerly with us. We can reach out to him. And pls no one should post anything about the Deputy Governor on this page again. The Deputy Governor has used his own mouth to destroy himself with us,” he said.
