Fubara Signs N1.1tn Budget, Declares Oko-Jumbo-Led Assembly Legitimate

Rivers State Governor, Siminialayi Fubara, has officially enacted the 2025 budget of N1.1 trillion, solidifying the leadership of the Victor Oko-Jumbo-led House of Assembly.

This move comes just days after the bill was presented to Oko-Jumbo and two other lawmakers, The Nation reports.

Fubara also dismissed the 27 members, including Martins Amaewhule, who switched from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC), declaring them ineligible to hold legislative positions in the state.
