Former Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has announced his intention to run for governor of Nasarawa State in the 2027 elections.
He made the declaration in Lafia, the state capital, at a gathering with members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) State Working Committee.
Adamu shared that his decision to enter the race was prompted by requests from the people of Nasarawa, who he believes have trust in his leadership ability.
The APC currently holds power in the state. Adamu expressed his commitment to serve the people and promised to bring progress to the region.
If elected, he vowed to ensure his government would be inclusive, transparent, and focused on fostering development across various sectors.
