Osita Chidoka, a former Minister of Aviation, has officially resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to focus on new ventures aimed at driving political reform and good governance in Nigeria.
Chidoka made this announcement during an interview on Politics Today, a Channels Television program, on Friday.
In his statement, Chidoka explained that his decision to step away from active politics was driven by a desire to concentrate on his non-governmental organization, the Athena Centre. The initiative, according to him, is committed to fostering evidence-based governance and working with like-minded individuals to reshape Nigeria’s political landscape.
“Today, I officially notified my ward in Anambra State of my resignation from the PDP. My immediate focus will be on the Athena Centre, where I hope to contribute meaningfully to governance reform and nation-building,” Chidoka said during the program.
The former Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) remains a respected voice in public service, with his latest move highlighting his continued commitment to national development.
