-Patrice Evra has been sentenced to prison for family abandonment in France. The former captain of the France team was found guilty by a criminal court and sentenced to 12 months in prison with suspended probation. He owes close to €1 million in unpaid alimony.

-Anwar El Ghazi won his lawsuit against Mainz, who fired him for a pro-Palestinian social media post. After contesting his contract termination and unpaid salary, El Ghazi will be reinstated to the team and compensated at least €1.5 million.

-Federico Valverde has made more accurate through balls (6) than any other player at the 2024 Copa America.

-Cristian Romero is making more passes per game (77.8) than any other player at the 2024 Copa América.

-Phil Foden was the only player in the EURO 2024 semi finals to complete 100% of his attempted passes (10+ attempted).

-UEFA initially proposed that in case of a tie, the Golden Boot winner would be decided by assists and then minutes played, favouring Olmo for the top spot.
Now UEFA announced that if England vs. Spain doesn’t determine a clear winner of the Euro 2024 Golden Boot, it will be shared among six players. This comes after Cristiano Ronaldo won the award at Euro 2020 despite tying with Patrik Schick on five goals.

LATEST TRANSFER RUMOURS

-Sergio Gomez has completed his move from Manchester City to Real Sociedad! The transfer fee is €9M. Contract until 2030.

-Napoli enter the race for Mason Greenwood. Napoli and Marseille are the two clubs close to the signing of Mason Greenwood. Lazio have pulled out of the race. Marseille still have the upper hand in the deal after finding an agreement with Man United. Player is taking time to decide.

-Wissam Ben Yedder agreed to pay €1.6M for a young woman to drop her charges of rape against him. This agreement was carefully orchestrated by lawyers, in order to leave no trace.

-Milan are pushing to sign RB Salzburg defender Strahinja Pavlovic and talks are already taking place. 23-year-old is interested in the move.

-Manchester United are now fully focused on completing the deal to sign Matthijs De Ligt after sealing the transfer of Joshua Zirkzee. Personal terms all agreed on a 5-year deal, just need to negotiate a fee with Bayern.

-Sadio Mané could return to RB Salzburg this summer. His contract at Al-Nassr runs until 2026.

-Dele is training with Everton and could potentially be offered a new contract to rejoin the club. If he signs a new deal with Everton it would be a free transfer but if the Toffees go on to sell him at a future date, Tottenham would be due a payment.

-Jonny Evans signs a new contract at Manchester United, staying at the club for one more season until June 2025.
