The Federal Medical Centre, Nguru, Yobe State has been rated as one of the best health facilities in Yobe State.
The Executive Secretary of Yobe State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (YSCHMA), Dr. Babagana Tijjani stated this during the signing of a level agreement between the Agency and Federal Medical Centre, Nguru.
He described FMC Nguru as one of the best health facilities in the State compared to over 200 others and the Agency has never received challenges from the enrollees of the Centre despite the low prices of drugs or ceasing from offering services.
According to the Executive Secretary in his address at the event, stated that the essence of the visit was for sensitization and to present the recently reviewed tariff and capitation by stakeholders as part of effort to improve the healthcare services in the State.
In his response, the Head of Clinical Services and Training, Dr. Ukhasha Ibrahim who represented the Medical Director, Professor Hadiza Abdullahi Usman expressed the delight of management on the important visit by the entire leadership of the Agency.
He pointed out that there is no doubt that the Centre is a home to YSCHMA for having the highest number of enrollees and secondary referrals compared to other HMOs that offer services at the Centre.
He also stated that there has been a cordial relationship existing between the two institutions which was attributed to the quality of fee-for-service, capitation and prompt remittance of payment to the Centre.
Part of the event was the presentation of the revised service which showed an upward review cutting all the services by Dr. Isa Adamu.
During the event, the Head of Clinical Services and Training, Dr. Ukhasha Ibrahim signed on behalf of the Federal Medical Centre, Nguru while Dr. Babagana Tijjani signed for YSCHMA.
