Lincs Power Energy Solutions has donated a 5-megawatt electricity project to Ondo State in a bid to enhance the state’s power supply stability. The project was facilitated by Mr. Olumbe Akinkugbe, a former Senior Special Assistant on ICT to the late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.

At the groundbreaking ceremony on Sunday, Mr. Otinniyi Micheal, the Project Manager of Lincs Power Energy Solutions, explained that the current 5-megawatt capacity would eventually be upgraded to 20 megawatts, which would be sufficient to provide reliable electricity to the entire Ondo State and surrounding areas.

Micheal expressed gratitude to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for his support and emphasized the project’s potential to improve local electricity supply.

Mr. Akinkugbe, the project’s facilitator, highlighted that the power project would help drive economic growth and improve the quality of life in Ondo West Local Government and its surroundings. He assured that the project would be completed as promised, with plans for future expansion to a 20-megawatt capacity.

Governor Aiyedatiwa, represented by his Special Adviser on Energy, Mr. Alabi Johnson, expressed appreciation for Akinkugbe’s efforts in bringing the project to life and encouraged community support for the initiative.
