Few months after installation, popular Ondo Monarch Dies

 

The Olojoda of Oda kingdom in Akure South Local Government Area of Ondo State, Oba Julius Ajayi Adewumi Omomo, Okunbadejo II, has passed away at the age of 83.

Oba Omomo, who ascended to the throne on May 30, 2023, following the demise of his predecessor, succumbed to a brief illness.

During his short reign, the late monarch spearheaded developments and fostered peace within the local government area, earning praise from his subjects and observers alike.

A family member, Chief Prince Ade Adelakun, affirmed the monarch’s demise, lauding him as a humble, principled, and dedicated leader who prioritized the welfare of his people and the advancement of the state.
