Few days after Oyo attack, explosion rocks Kaduna community

No fewer than 10 children were on Saturday fatally injured, as explosion rocked Kidandan Village in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

This is coming few days after an explosion killed two persons and injured seventy – seven persons in Bodija, Oyo State.

As reported by The Nation, it was gathered that, the incident occurred Saturday afternoon, as children who had gone into the bush to fetch firewood and returned home with a strange object suspected to be Improvised Explosive Device (IED).

The Village Head of Kidandan, Alhaji Abubakar Umar, confirmed the incident, saying that, “we thank God, there was no death, but 10 people were injured.

“The injured children have been taken to the hospital for treatment. Right now I am compiling their names,” he said.

“I was told the children picked the object in the bush when they went looking for firewood. It exploded and injured them badly,” he said.

Other sources from the community said,

intestine of one of the victims was pulped out while others have their legs and arms broken.
