Fayemi Leads APC To Victory In Ekiti As Eleka, Kicks

Dr. Kayode Fayemi, the Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), for the July 14, 2018, gubernatorial election in Ekiti State, has led his party (APC) to victory by scoring 197,459 against his closest rival of the PDP candidate, prof Kolapo Eleka who scored 178,121.

Results of the Ekiti Governorship election declared by Local Government Collation officers at State Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)  office in Ado Ekiti.

Starnews gathered that the election was characterised with open purchase of votes with money by politicians with the two leading political parties (PDP and APC) trading accusations.

There was also reports of some ballot boxes snatching in some areas in Ekiti State.

Meanwhile the PDP candidate, prof Kolapo Eleka has reacted and rejected the result declared by INEC, describing it as a mockery of democracy.

He promises to challenge the result as at when due.

Some political party agents at the collation centers in Ado Ekiti have described what happened in Ekiti State yesterday as electoral market which is far from democracy Nigeria the country is known for.
