Kelechi Madugba, former acting chairman of the Labour Party in Abia State, has denied claims that he funds the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB).
In a statement issued in Umuahia, Madugba called the allegations false and politically motivated. He emphasized that he has never been involved with IPOB or its members.
Madugba, who has served as a community leader and held political roles in various parties, including the Accord Party and the New Nigeria Peoples Party, stated that his focus remains on a united Nigeria.
He also made his financial records public to prove he has not been involved in any activities that could fund a separatist group.
To further clear his name, Madugba revealed his bank account details, including those from UBA, First Bank, Heritage Bank, and Ecobank, for anyone wishing to verify the allegations.
He warned the public to disregard the claims, labeling them as part of a smear campaign. Madugba also confirmed that his legal team would take action to address the accusations, Naija News reports.
He concluded by affirming his ongoing commitment to his business and political duties across Nigeria.
