EFCC Detains 10 Lagos Officers Over Missing Items

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has taken action against 10 officers from its Lagos Zonal Command, alleging involvement in a case of unaccounted operational items.

This move comes under the leadership of Chairman Ola Olukoyede, who initiated reforms aimed at addressing misconduct within the commission, Naija News reports.

The officers were detained last week in line with ongoing investigations, with findings expected to determine disciplinary measures.

This follows the EFCC’s recent dismissal of 27 officers in 2024 due to fraudulent practices and misconduct, underscoring the agency’s firm stance against internal corruption.
