Easter: Police assures residents of enhanced security measures in Ondo

The Ondo State Commissioner of Police, Abayomi P. Oladipo has extended heartfelt greetings to the Christian community as they commemorate Easter in the state.

In light of the festive occasion, CP Oladipo has directed police officers to ensure the implementation of comprehensive security measures across the state.

This includes heightened visibility patrols, securing highways, and safeguarding public spaces to ensure a safe and peaceful celebration for all residents.

According to a statement issued by the command’s Public Relations Officer, SP. Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, mnipr, the security measures include strategic deployment of police resources to vulnerable areas to preempt any potential security threats during the Easter festivities.

Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs), and Tactical Unit leaders have been tasked with maintaining a strong presence in their respective jurisdictions to prevent any untoward incidents.

Officers have been reminded to uphold professionalism and diligence in the execution of their duties during this period.

CP Oladipo, however, urged residents to remain vigilant, abide by the law, and promptly report any suspicious activities to law enforcement authorities.
