The Irawo Oni Oodua of Yoruba, and traditional title holder of Erelu Oodua, Mabel Tinuade Onaneye, on Friday, called on governor Adegboyega Oyetola of Osun State in conjunction with the Chairman, traditional council of Obas in Osun State, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, the Ooni of Ife, to as a matter of urgency dethrone His Royal Majesty, the Oluwo of Iwo land, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi, for allegedly assaulting another monarch, Oba Dikrulahi Akinropo, the Agbowu of Ogbaagbaa, at the office of the Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), Zone 11, in Osogbo, Osun State, over a land dispute.
In a telephone interview with Starnews NG correspondent from Texas, United States of America, Erelu said the Oluwo of Iwo should be dethroned immediately for desecrating the revered throne of Iwo Kingdom.
Starnews NG was informed that the incident occurred during a reconciliatory meeting over a land dispute at the office of the AIG with other monarchs in attendance.
The source said Oba Akinropo was allegedly attacked on the face and head by the Oluwo of Iwo land.
Erelu Oodua had on February 6, 2020, blasted the Oluwo of Iwo, describing him as a notorious king who is allegedly misbehaving on the throne.

The Oluwo of Iwo allegedly claimed that the assaulted Monarch called him a mad man, which led to the assault, multiple sources told Starnews NG.

The assaulted monarch was taken to an undisclosed hospital for treatment after the incident occurred, Starnews NG can report.
