In order to cushion the effect of COVID 19 pandemic lockdown in Ondo State especially in Ikale land, the chairman State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) in Ondo State, Princess Oladunni Odu, has rolled out palliative for the people of Okitipupa Local Government Area of the state.
According to the statement made available to newsmen by her Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mike Kuwoye, on Monday, the monetary palliative was given out to vulnerable people and Octogenarians in the community.
Starnews NG reports that Princess Oladunni Odu gave out Five Thousand Naira (N5,000) to 200 people in Okitipupa State Constituency II in Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State.
Mr Betiku Michael who spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries appreciated Princess Odu for the gesture.
Princess Oladunni Odu said the government can not do it alone. She, however, advised individuals who have the capacity to reach out to the poor within and beyond their communities at this critical period.
