Court Grants Abba Kyari Bail

The Federal High Court in Abuja has granted bail to the suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari.

Kyari was granted bail on Thursday by Justice Kolawole Omotosho after spending 18 months in detention.

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA had declared Kyari wanted over his alleged involvement in a 25kg cocaine deal.

The embattled cop was subsequently taken into custody in February 2022 after the NDLEA, alleged tampering with drug exhibits and was remanded in Kuje Prison, Abuja.

Kyari still has a case before Justice Emeka Nwite of a Federal High Court in Abuja.
