Coronation: Sunny Ade, Tope Alabi, Funsho Adeolu, Storm Igbole Community For Bisi Bamgboye

Igbole Community in Ido/Osi Local Government Area of Ekiti State was transformed to an atmosphere of excitement and entertainment as King Sunny Ade, Tope Alabi, Funsho Adeolu, and many other celebrities, including Traditional Rulers, Political Office Holders, Politicians and High Net Worth Individuals Storm the Community to grace the coronation ceremony of High Chief Oyebisi Bamgboye as the Odofin of Igbole Ekiti.

One of the top events in Yorubaland is the coronation ceremony of a King, or that of his second in command, plus that of his high chiefs and chiefs. Coronation means the action of bestowing a chieftaincy title. It is known as ‘Iwuye’ in Yorubaland and it is an important process in Chieftaincy-making.

At Igbole, some of Nigeria’s top celebrities and personalities who turned up at the Community were not there to catch fun. They were there to honour High Chief Oyebisi who was coronated as Odofin of Igbole-Ekiti, the next in rank to His Royal Majesty Oba Emmanuel Olugbenga Ajayi-Adetiloye, the Olugbole of Igbole Ekiti in Ekiti State.

High Chief Oyebisi Oyewale Bamgboye, the CEO of Manax Immigration Services, a Canadian government licensed Immigration Consulting company based in Regina Canada, is a Philanthropist, born on May 9, 1978, Male, the son of late High Chief Obafemi Bamgboye, the immediate past Odofin of Igbole Ekiti, in Ido- Osi Local Government Area of Ekiti State. He succeeded his father as Odofin on October 15, 2016, but was coronated as the Odofin Igbole -Ekiti on Saturday, July 17, 2021.

Among Nigerian big names that attended the coronation includes the State Deputy Governor, His Excellency, Chief Bisi Egbeyemi who’s arrival was one of the major highlights of the event. The party guests cheered loudly when he entered with his entourage.

Other notable faces at the event were a former Chairman of Ado Ekiti Local Government, Chief Ogunsakin, a former Commissioner for Health in Ekiti State, Hon. Olurotimi Ojo, with some members of Ekiti State House of Assembly and the current Chairman of Ido/Osi Local Government Area in Ekiti State.

The Olugbole in-council with about ten Traditional Rulers drawn from various communities were also in attendance.

Starnews Nigeria reports that Rev Blessing Ajayi and hosts of other pastors from Joy Cometh Ministry, Lagos State, including the Senior Pastor of the church, Pastor Olaitan Aromonlaran were also present at the event.

Popular Yoruba Musician, Evangelist Tope Alabi,

officiated during the cutting of the cake while Musical Icon, King Sunny Ade, entertained the guests, amidst dancing and fanfare.

Part of the activities marking the ceremony includes the empowerment of widows and the aged in Ido – Osi Local Government Area and some senior citizens in the Local Government.

The Coronation Ceremony also featured the presentation of an award of excellence from EduLink Concepts. During the Award Presentation, Evangelist Aduralere Oluwagbohunmi said, “Chief Oyebisi Bamgboye has always been consistent in helping the aged, the less privileged and young students across schools in Ekiti State.”

The whole community trooped out en-mass to celebrate High Chief Oyebisi, a Charity Philanthropist, an ex- Banker, a financial expert, and businessman who is newly coronated as the Odofin of Igbole -Ekiti – the Traditional Prime Minister of the community.

IGBOLE- EKITI, is the home town of the first Professor of geophysics in West Africa, Professor Ojo- Ugbole, Starnews Nigeria can report.
