In a significant show of bilateral relations, the Chinese warship MSL Destroyer NANNING has docked at the Lagos port in Nigeria for an official visit.
The arrival of the vessel has been met with a warm reception by officials from the Western Naval Command, with Rear Admiral Joseph Akpan, the Flag Officer Commanding (FOC), leading the Nigerian delegation.
The visit of the Chinese warship marks a notable milestone in the growing relationship between China and Nigeria, showcasing the deepening cooperation between the two nations in the maritime domain.
The NANNING, a guided-missile destroyer of the People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN), arrived in Lagos as part of its broader mission to strengthen naval ties and promote regional stability.
The docking of the MSL Destroyer NANNING in Lagos highlights China’s commitment to fostering friendly relations with Nigeria and enhancing maritime security cooperation in the region.
