Are you aware that there are certain category of people who should eat corn often as it tends to trigger some unwanted reactions in their bodies? Corn is a starchy vegetable that can be used for preparation of a number of things and some people even use it to prepare dishes they eat.
But then there are certain risks associated with eating corn for some people and in this article in line with a publication on WebMD, we are going to be having a look at the set of people who should not eat corn too often to avoid issues or complications with their health.
What Category Of People Should Eat Corn Less Often?
1. People with celiac disease – this is a disorder that causes an autoimmune response when a person eats any kind of gluten. People who have this condition often experience more issues when they eat corn often, so there is need to stay away from the vegetable as much as possible.
2. People who have irritable bowel syndrome otherwise known as IBS should also cut down on the rate at which they consume corn. The reason is that, their symptoms tend to flare up as a result of corn consumption.
3. Corn should not be consumed too often by people suffering from diabetes. Reason being that, it has sugar and carbohydrates being a starchy vegetable like potatoes and peas and as such, eating it too often may cause blood sugar to rise. This doesn’t mean diabetic patients should not eat corn, they should just be wary so it doesn’t end up causing problems.
