**Trains, buses overcrowded, could not move
Citizens and Residents of Canada were stranded yesterday as people trooped out enmass to celebrate the new year fireworks.
Starnews Nigeria reports that there was gridlock at Harbour Square Park, Queen’s Quay West, Toronto in Ontario, locking up all the intersecting streets caused by millions of people who hanged out for the celebration of new year.
Starnews NG Correspondent who witnessed the situation reports that the roads were gridlocked when people were trying to return home. “All the intersecting streets and roads were blocked with a lot of traffic so vehicles cannot move”, he said.
Starnews Nigeria observed that train stations were filled to capacity. Trains and buses were overcrowded that they could not move. Like sea sand, People crowded the roads, intersecting streets, train and bus stations.
At Union train station in Downtown Toronto, thousands of people were locked up inside the train station to manage the crowd who were struggling to enter the train to leave the area for their various destinations.
Starnews Nigeria can report that TTC supervisors were heard begging citizens and residents to leave the rail track and roads for easy flow of traffic.
