BREAKING: Trump Sworn In for Second Term as U.S. President

By: Bayero Ade

Donald Trump has officially taken the oath of office, marking his return to the White House for a second term as President of the United States.

The ceremony took place on Monday, January 20th, 2025, in Washington, D.C.

In his inaugural speech, Trump committed to prioritizing national interests, boosting economic growth, and enhancing national security, promising to “make America greater than ever before.”

He also expressed gratitude to his supporters for their steadfast loyalty and shared an optimistic vision for the nation’s future.

Trump’s return to power follows a politically divided climate, with his campaign focusing on key issues such as economic recovery, border security, and strengthening national defense. As he embarks on his second term, he is expected to unveil a range of executive orders and policy initiatives aimed at fulfilling key campaign promises.

Early signals suggest immediate action on topics like energy independence, immigration reform, and trade negotiations.

This historic moment in U.S. politics sees Trump become one of the few presidents to serve two non-consecutive terms.

Trump Administration to Recognize Only Two Biological Sexes

Ahead of the inauguration, a senior official from Trump’s incoming administration revealed that the U.S. government would adopt a policy recognizing only two biological sexes: male and female.

This policy was announced in the lead-up to Trump’s swearing-in.

Additionally, the administration plans to eliminate federal diversity programs, including those within the Treasury Department.

The official noted that these initiatives had promoted ideas such as white individuals being inherently responsible for racism, regardless of personal views. “We will stop funding these diversity programs,” the official confirmed, signaling a major shift in government policy.
