President Bola Tinubu is currently in a closed-door emergency meeting with governors elected under the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The meeting is taking place at the council chambers of the presidential villa in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
The agenda of the crucial meeting remains undisclosed at the time of this report.
However, it comes in the aftermath of the suspension of Betta Edu from her position as the minister of humanitarian affairs and poverty alleviation.
Edu, a former woman leader of the ruling party, faced suspension over allegations of directing funds into a private account.
The APC governors, collectively known as the Progressives Governors Forum (PGF), had earlier expressed caution, emphasizing that the accusations against Edu are mere allegations.
