BREAKING: Tinubu approves law to establish Federal University in Ogoni

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has signed into law the establishment of the Federal University of Environment and Technology, Ogoni.

The bill was signed on Monday at the State House in the presence of prominent officials, including Senator Mpigi Barinada, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, the Minister of Education, and other senior government leaders.

The development was announced by the presidency through a statement shared on its official X (formerly Twitter) account.

This move underscored President Tinubu’s commitment to tackling the environmental and educational challenges faced by the Ogoni community, fulfilling a significant promise to the region.
