Former African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has refused to accept bail conditions set by the police, insisting he will not be bailed out by a “corrupt civil servant at level 17 or 16.”
The human rights activist is facing 16 cybercrime charges filed by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun after referring to the police chief as an “Illegal IG.”
He was detained at the Nigerian Police Intelligence Response Team (IRT) office in Abuja on Monday after voluntarily honouring a police invitation.
