Two heavy trucks yet to be identified lost their brakes simultaneously and ran into shops at Oloko junction in Ikare Akoko killing six persons at the junction with several injured, Starnews Nigeria can report.
It was a sad day in the ancient town as the accident claimed the lives of six persons instantaneously in the metropolis while many have been taken to the hospital as we write.
The incident happened around 4pm on Saturday. The two trucks were coming from Ekiti State and were both heading to Akure.
Both vehicles were conveying good items worth millions of naira but lost control at Oke Okorun and rammed into shops, killing many.
