Breaking: Police Release Detained Ondo Governorship Candidate

The Governorship Candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) in Ondo State, Kunle Wizeman Ajayi has been released from police custody.

Starnews reports that the politician was detained alongside other protesters during the demonstrations against bad governance in Akure, the Ondo State Capital on Saturday.

Human Rights Activist, Omoyele Sowore took to his Twitter page to confirm the release of the Ondo AAC Governorship Flagbearer.

He tweeted:

“Guber Candidate of AACparty Ondo State, Kunle Wizeman Ajayi @AjayiWizeman, and five others illegally detained in Ondo by Nigeria Police Force @PoliceNG for participating in #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria were released this evening. However, @OndoPoliceNg is still illegally holding a student activist, Patrick Owolabi! Gov. @LuckyAiyedatiwa must order the Police to release Patrick immediately.
