The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has decreased its ownership in the Dangote Refinery from 20% to 7.2%, according to Aliko Dangote, CEO of Dangote Refinery.

Dangote announced this update during a press briefing in Lagos State on Sunday.

“NNPC no longer owns a 20% stake in the Dangote refinery. They were supposed to pay their balance in June but have not met their obligations. As a result, they now hold only a 7.2% stake in the refinery,” Dangote stated.
