Breaking News : Police Drags National Assembly To Court

Nigerian Police Force has instituted a court case against the national assembly to ask the court 5 questions and seek 7 prayers over the official invitation of the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr Idris Ibrahim by the Senate. Mr. David Igbodo, commissioner of Police, Legal department of the force headquarters, has said.

Mr Igbodo who spoke on Sunrise Daily, a programme on channels TV, accused the Senate of taking the issue of invitation of the IGP very personal. According to Igbodo, the court should determine if the IGP cannot be represented at the national assembly by a senior police officer upon his invitation by the Senate.
