A hotel owner in Akure, Ondo State, was murdered inside one of the rooms at his hotel. The man, identified as Adesoji Johnson Adeleye, was the Chief Executive Officer of Klass Five Hotel located in the Arakale area of the city.
The incident happened recently, and it has thrown residents into shock, especially those who knew him well. Adeleye, known for his active social life, was found dead inside the hotel. According to sources, the attackers forced their way into the room while he was still awake, attacked him, and stabbed him multiple times before leaving him lifeless.
The sad event was confirmed by one of his close friends who mentioned that they had gone out together the previous night and were supposed to meet again the next morning. He expressed deep pain at the loss, saying the news of Adeleye’s death came as a huge blow.
A family member said the matter has been reported to the police in Akure. Officers from the command have visited the hotel and taken Adeleye’s body to the mortuary. Some people have also been invited for questioning to help with the investigation.
The police spokesperson in Ondo State, Olayinka Ayanlade, confirmed the killing. He said detectives were sent to the scene, and the case is now being handled by the state police headquarters. He explained that efforts are ongoing to find those behind the murder and assured the public that the suspects will be caught and prosecuted.
This tragic killing comes shortly after the death of another well-known woman in Akure, a caterer named Mrs. Olakunbi Adene. In that case, police arrested three domestic workers after they traced her phones to different locations in Akure and Idanre.
