Former State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State, Chief Bisi Kolawole, has emerged as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s flag bearer for the Ekiti State governorship election which is expected to take place on June 18, this year.
Starnews Nigeria reports that Bisi, a favourite of Ayodele Fayose, former governor of Ekiti State was announced as the winner after the delegates cast their votes at the party’s primary held at Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital on Wednesday.
17 contenders expressed interest in being the PDP’s candidate in the election which is just about five months away.

He polled 671 votes to defeat his closest rival and former Governor of the state, Chief Segun Oni who garnered 330 votes.
The other aspirants include Kayode Adaramodu who polled 10 votes, Prof Olushola Eleka who polled 93 votes, and Adewale Aribisala who polled 56 votes.
