The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a new reduction in the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), bringing it down to N899.50 per litre. This was revealed in a statement released on Thursday morning, aimed at providing relief to Nigerians ahead of the holiday season.
According to the statement signed by Anthony Chiejina, the Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer, this price cut follows an earlier reduction to N970 per litre on November 24. The latest adjustment is part of the company’s efforts to lower transport costs during the festive period.
“To support Nigerians this holiday season, Dangote Refinery has reduced the price of PMS to N899.50 per litre at our truck loading gantry or Single Point Mooring (SPM). Additionally, customers who purchase fuel on a cash basis will be eligible to buy one extra litre on credit, guaranteed by Access Bank, First Bank, or Zenith Bank,” the statement read.
Chiejina added that the company remains committed to delivering high-quality, competitively priced petroleum products that are environmentally friendly and designed to enhance engine efficiency. He also emphasized the refinery’s role in eliminating Nigeria’s dependence on low-quality imported fuels, which have posed significant risks to health and the environment.
The refinery thanked Nigerians for their continued support and reiterated its dedication to providing solutions that improve lives, especially during critical periods like the holiday season.
With a refining capacity of 650,000 barrels per day, the Dangote Refinery is the largest single-train refinery in the world. It is capable of meeting all of Nigeria’s fuel needs while producing a surplus for export.
