BREAKING : Court Gives Reasons for Dismissing EFCC Suit Against Okorocha

A federal capital territory high court in Abuja has dismissed the criminal suit filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) against Rochas Okorocha, the former governor of Imo state.

Yusuf Halilu, the presiding judge, declared the suit as “an abuse of court process,” leading to its dismissal. This decision marks a major development in the legal battle surrounding Okorocha’s alleged financial misconduct during his tenure as governor.

The EFCC had initiated the criminal suit against Okorocha, accusing him of various financial improprieties and corrupt practices. However, the court’s ruling implies that the commission failed to present sufficient evidence or establish a solid case against the former governor.
