BREAKING: Appeal Court Rules in Favour of Adewinle as Petu of Aye Kingdom

The Court of Appeal in Akure, Ondo State, has ruled unanimously in favour of Dr. Ademola Adewinle, confirming him as the rightful occupant of the Petu of Aye Kingdom in Okitipupa local government area.

In a landmark judgment delivered on Monday by the five justices, the appellate court upheld the earlier ruling of the Ondo State High Court, which had removed High Chief Eddy Adebusoye from the chieftaincy position.

Starnews NG reports that both men, members of the same family, had contested the title, leading Dr. Adewinle to challenge Adebusoye’s installation in court, in suit No: HOK/28/2016.

Dissatisfied with the initial ruling, Adebusoye appealed the decision in Appeal No: CA/AK/9/2022; however, the Court of Appeal has now affirmed the lower court’s judgment and ordered the immediate installation of Dr. Ademola Adewinle as the Petu of Aye Kingdom.
