The All Progressives Congress(APC) has reportedly adopted the direct primary mode to pick its candidate for the gubernatorial election in Ondo state.
Although this information has not yet been confirmed by the party, but sources at the party secretariat said the APC leadership also proposed April 24, 2024 to elect its flag bearer for the governorship race.
The Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) had fixed November 16, 2024, for the Ondo State governorship election.
The commission had also fixed party primaries in the state for April 6 – 26.
Over 18 aspirants including Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa have indicated interest in picking the ruling party’s governorship ticket.
